Five recalls for 11 models of four carmakers were announced in the 45th week of 2018. Mitsubishi, Opel, Ford and Ferrari had one action each.
Mitsubishi had two recalls for several of its models last month – see our archive and is adding two more in the first week of November. This time also the first of the recalls (due to the possible failure of the ASC, ACC and ABS systems) concerns the ASX model, which has been recalled already five times this year – see here. The second action due to a forward-collision mitigation system (FCM) failure also affects the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross MY 2018 and the Mitsubishi Outlander (and its hybrid version of PHEV) MY´s 2017 and 2018.
Ford
Ford Mustang we can see in the Rapex‘s reports for the second time this year. In February, the owners were recalled due to the risk of opening the door while driving and now they have to check the battery wiring harness in the engine compartment. It may potentially cause the battery cable to contact the exhaust manifold, which could lead to a fire. The recall applies to all Mustangs produced from May 2017 to June 2018.

Ferrari
Due to defective passenger airbag inflators, Ferrari has recalled some of its models already in 2016. In June 2018, it has expanded not only their numbers but also the range of production dates. In November 2018, this fact is also recorded in the official Rapex list. The owners of the California, 458 Italia, 458 Spider, Ferrari FF and F12berlinetta models must visit an authorized service centre for a free replacement of the defective part. Otherwise, they can be seriously injured by metal fragments of the exploding inflator.
Opel
Opel´s Vivaro models manufactured between March 2017 and July 2018 may have a problem with the seat belts in the third row of seats because some of the strap guiding rail components may not have been accurately manufactured. In the past, the Opel Vivaro has been recalled due to a steering failure or the risk of loosening the bonnet – see our archive.
