MG Motor is recalling 24,600 EHS models to authorised workshops worldwide. The first recall of the Chinese manufacturer is relevant for plug-in hybrid SUVs built in 2021 and 2022. The reason for the measure is incorrectly fitted earth cable on the heating element, which can become loose and lead to a fire.
The MG partners check the tightening torque of the ground cable. If necessary, the PTC heater can be adjusted or replaced. The KBA is monitoring the recall under the reference code “012570“, and the internal manufacturer code is “RE01“.
