Mercedes-Benz GLC: The front towing eye may detach

Mercedes is recalling 66,811 GLCs built between 2021 and 2023 to workshops worldwide. The reason for the measure is a faulty thread of the front towing device (mounting eyelet). The screw connection can loosen during a towing operation and thus cause injuries.

In the workshop, the front cross member is checked and, if necessary, reworked or replaced. The KBA monitors the measure under the reference number “013159” and the manufacturer’s internal code is “6290004“.
