Mercedes-Benz E-Class: Wiring harness can rub against underbody panelling

Mercedes is recalling 25,101 E-Classes built between 2020 and 2022 to workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is the wiring harness of the power electronics, which can rub against the underbody panelling. If damaged, propulsion can be lost or the electric drive can fail.

In the workshop, the wiring harness of the affected vehicles is checked and, if necessary, the necessary repairs are carried out. The KBA monitors the measure under reference number “012986” and the internal manufacturer code is “5996001“.
