Mercedes-Benz C-Class: Loss of drive

Mercedes-Benz is recalling 16,195 C-Classes built between 2021 and 2022 to workshops worldwide. The reason for the measure is the length of the transmission line set that does not correspond to the specification and can lead to chafing on the drive shaft. If damaged, this can lead to loss of drive.

In the workshop, the routing of the wiring harness is checked on the affected vehicles and reworked if necessary. The KBA is investigating the action under reference number “012959“, and the internal code is “5491316“.
