Mazda is recalling 136,159 CX-60 vehicles manufactured between 2022 and 2024 to authorized workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is software errors that may trigger warning messages when starting the vehicle and could impair the functionality of certain systems.
A total of 46,415 CX-60 vehicles may experience issues with the windshield defroster, seat belt reminder, 360° vision monitor, automatic engine start (start-stop system), and starting the combustion engine due to a poor connection with the electric motor (manual restart is possible). Another 89,744 CX-60 vehicles may have a problem with the high-voltage battery cooling system in PHEV models.
In authorized workshops, the software for the powertrain control module (PCM), battery energy control module (BECM), transmission control module (TCM), and dashboard power supply unit (DASH-ESU) will be updated to the latest manufacturing version.
The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference numbers “14541R“ and “14540R“. The internal manufacturer codes are “AR056A“ and “AR058A“.
