Mazda MX-5: The DSC and TCS warning lights may fail to illuminate

Mazda is recalling 8,354 vehicles of the MX-5 model series manufactured between 28. 11. 2023 and 24. 2. 2025. The reason for the recall is an error in the software that causes the traction control system (TCS) and dynamic stability control (DSC) warning lights to fail to illuminate when abnormal yaw rates are detected.

At an authorised workshop, the DSC unit is replaced.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15159R“. The internal manufacturer code is “AS011A“.
