The wire harnesses of the side airbag sensors could crack and the wires may corrode. In the event of a crash the front seat airbags and the curtain shield airbags may not deploy, increasing the risk of injury.

The Toyota Yaris models affected by this recall were produced between 27 June 2014 – 17 February 2017.
