OBD socket
If you are experiencing issues with the diagnostics on certain Stellantis cars, such as incorrect readings or restricted access to certain data, there may be a simple explanation: the OBD port is faulty. Peugeot is recalling 341,749 cars from the 208, 301, 308, 508, 2008, 3008, 5008, Boxer, Expert, Partner, Rifter and Traveller ranges, which were manufactured between 14 October 2016 and 11 October 2016. The reason for the recall is potentially limited OBD functionality.
The same issue may also affect 273,627 Citroën C3 Aircross, Berlingo, C4 Cactus, C4 Picasso, C-Elysée, C3, Jumpy, C5 Aircross and SpaceTourer models, as well as related DS DS3 Crossback and DS7 Crossback models, which were manufactured between 15 March 2018 to 30 April 2024 and 27 March 2017 to 15 November 2022 respectively. The recall also affects 97,770 Opel Movano, Zafira, Combo, Vivaro, Grandland X, Crossland X and Corsa models produced between 8 September 2017 and 19 October 2023.
The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recalls under the reference numbers 15454R (Citroen), 15455R (DS), 15453R (Peugeot) and 15456R (Opel). The internal manufacturer codes are GK2 (Citroen and DS), MYC (Peugeot) and KT2 (Opel).
Škoda airbags
Last July, Škoda Auto recalled 85,988 Citigo, Fabia, Octavia, Praktik, Rapid, Roomster, Superb and Yeti vehicles manufactured between 2012 and 2014 due to a fault in the driver’s airbag gas generator, which can lead to uncontrolled deployment. This week, Škoda is recalling a further 138,441 cars manufactured between 7 April 2014 and 5 June 2016. In this case, too, the release of metal fragments when the airbag is activated can cause injury or death to someone in the car. Don’t underestimate this risk and check the Skoda website to see if the recall applies to you.
Steering
A manufacturing defect in the steering coupling may lead to loosen mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the steering box in 17,606 Mercedes C-Class, EQE and GLC vehicles produced between 2 March 2022 and 23 July 2025. This fault is leading to a loss of steering and increasing the risk of an accident.
