Land Rover: The plastic housing of the oil filter may crack

Land Rover is recalling 8,083 Defender, Discovery, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover Velar vehicles manufactured between 2023 and 2024 to authorised workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that the plastic housing of the oil filter may crack, causing oil to leak. There is a risk of fire and/or oil leaking into the traffic area.

In an authorised workshop, the oil filter housing and the oil filter element must be replaced.

The KBA monitors the measure under the reference number “14011R” and the manufacturer’s internal code is “N908“.

You can use our sample request text. After reporting the vehicle's VIN code, you will find out if the defect is present on your car, or if it has already been resolved by the previous owner if the car was purchased second-hand.

If you wish to know more about the eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accident damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), in that case, we suggest going to this page.

Do you know the year Your car was made? You most likely don't.
