Land Rover Defender, Discovery and Range Rover: Fire hazard due to blocked oil duct

Land Rover is recalling 16,506 Defender, Discovery, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles built between 2022 and 2023. The reason for the recall is a blocked oil duct, which can lead to oil leaking from the pressure control valve. There is a risk of fire.

The camshaft carrier is checked in the workshop and replaced if necessary. The KBA is investigating the recall under reference number “012966” and the internal manufacturer code is “N763“.
