Jeep Wrangler: Fuel tank damage can cause a fuel leak and fire

Worldwide, 44,118 Jeep Wranglers produced between 2019 and 2022 must return to the workshop. The reason for the measure is a non-functional stud bolt that can damage the fuel tank in an accident and cause a fuel leak. This can lead to a possible fire.

The vehicle frame is checked in the workshop, and the stud bolt is removed if necessary. The KBA is monitoring the recall under reference number “012691“, and the internal code is “28A“.
