Jaguar I-Pace: Renewed recall due to thermal overload of high-voltage system

Jaguar is recalling 3,676 I-Pace vehicles manufactured between 2019 and 2024 to authorised workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that thermal overload of the high-voltage system can lead to fire without prior notice under the previously upgraded vehicles. (1st software update failed).

In an authorised workshop, a new software update (version 4.0.0.) of the Battery Energy Control Module (BECM) must be implemented.

A reported fire in Germany resulted in a total loss of the vehicle.
