Hyundai Kona and Santa Fe: Problems with the gearbox

Hyundai is recalling 43,258 Kona and Santa Fe from the production period 2020 to 2022 to workshops worldwide. The reason for the measure is a limited function of the automated transmission.

In the workshop, the vehicle receives a software update of the transmission control unit (TCU). The KBA is investigating the case under the reference number “012729” and the manufacturer-internal code is “21D155“.
