Updated
Citroen is recalling 587,020 C3 vehicles manufactured between 2009 and 2017 to authorised workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is a defective gas generator in the driver and/or front passenger airbag that can lead to uncontrolled deployment. The release of metal fragments can injure the occupants when the airbag is deployed.
In an authorised workshop, the driver and front passenger airbags is replaced.
The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “13844“. The internal manufacturer code is “MN9“.
