Fuse boxes may catch fire on several Mercedes

Mercedes-Benz is recalling 4,652 vehicles of the EQE, C-Class, GLC, S-Class, CLE, AMG GT, E-Class, SL, EQS model series manufactured between 31. 1. 2023 and 17. 10. 2023. The reason for the recall are incorrectly reworked fuse boxes that can result in contact interruptions or incorrect fuse values, which can lead to various fuse failures. In the worst case, a fire cannot be ruled out.

At an authorised workshop, the corresponding fuse boxes in the affected vehicles will be checked and replaced if necessary.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15052R“. The internal manufacturer codes are “8297014, 8297015“.
