Ford Mustang: Dashboard may fail, speed not displayed, assistants not working

Ford is recalling 8,364 vehicles of the Mustang model series manufactured in 2024. The reason for the recall is that the instrument cluster may fail after starting or while driving. Among other things, the speed is no longer displayed.

At an authorised workshop, the IPC software is updated to the latest version.

The other recall involves 162 Mustangs also built in 2024: Various assistance systems of the ADAS system (parking assistance, driver warning including drowsiness and distraction warning, intelligent speed assistant, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking assistant and traffic sign recognition) may not function correctly.

In this case, the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) software will be updated.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number „14838R and 14861R“. The internal manufacturer code is „24C35“ and „24C37“.
