This week’s recalls:
– Citroen, Opel, Peugeot – fire risk
– Citroen, DS, Peugeot – emissions
– Toyota – brakes
Overview of recalls in the 5th week of 2025
Eight recalls for 20 models of six brands were issued via EU Safety Gate in week 5 2025. Two recalls for four models of two makes were published by the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).
Three recalls can be found in the European Safety Gate system this week for Citroen and two for Peugeot, while DS, Opel, Vauxhall and Volkswagen have one recall each.
Audi and Toyota are recalling via the KBA.

Fuel leak and fire
The fuel line to the high-pressure pump may be leaking with ten models of Citroen, Opel, Peugeot and Vauxhall. More than 2,000 vehicles built between 2023 and 2024 are at risk of fire.
Increased NOx emissions
Citroen, DS and Peugeot are also recalling several models this week because they may exceed legal limits for nitrogen oxides. The software that processes data from the engine’s electronic control unit (ECU) is to blame. All affected models are listed in the summary table at the end of this article.
Problems with the brakes
The Toyota Corolla may brake poorly when cornering. The brake pedal may harden unexpectedly and the stopping distance may increase. More than one million vehicles built between 2022 and 2024 will need to have the brake control unit reprogrammed by an authorised workshop.
Details on this week’s Rapex recalls can be found in the table below.
We write about the KBA recalls in the following articles:
