Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 are affected by an airbag issue

Dodge is recalling 242,523 vehicles of the Charger and Chrysler 75,066 of the 300 model series manufactured between 2017 and 2021. The reason for the recall is the head airbag gas generator that can rupture due to corrosion and cyclical stress (heat) and the pressurised gas can escape.

At an authorised workshop, the side airbags are replaced.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference numbers “13893R“ and “13895R“. The internal manufacturer code is “19B“.
