Citroën C5 Aircross: Traction battery fault can lead to fire

Citroën is recalling 20,241 C5 Aircross of the model years 2020 to 2022 to the workshop worldwide. The reason for the measure is a fault in the cells of the traction battery, which can lead to overheating, smoke development and possibly fire.

The traction battery control unit is remotely charged with improved battery monitoring software. If a non-conformity of the traction battery is detected, it is replaced. The KBA monitors the action under the reference number “012738“, and the internal manufacturer code is “JQF“.
