Chevrolet Silverado: The head airbag may fail

Chevrolet is recalling 2,321 vehicles of the Silverado model series manufactured between 2017 and 2019. The reason for the recall is that the head airbag gas generator can break due to corrosion and cyclical stress (heat). The pressurized gas can escape.

At an authorised workshop, the RRAB modules on the left and right-hand side are replaced.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14697R“. The internal manufacturer code is “N242474500“.
