BMW 5 Series and i5: The Isofix mountings may fail

BMW is recalling 5,702 vehicles of the 5 Series and i5 manufactured in 2024 to authorised workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that the previously damaged ISOFIX mountings on the rear seat can cause a child seat to become unlocked in the event of an accident. There is an increased risk of injury.

In an authorised workshop, the ISOFIX rear seat is checked and replaced if necessary.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “013591“. The internal manufacturer code is “0052170200“.

You can use our sample request text. After reporting the vehicle's VIN code, you will find out if the defect is present on your car, or if it has already been resolved by the previous owner if the car was purchased second-hand.

If you wish to know more about the eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accident damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), in that case, we suggest going to this page.
