BMW 2 Series and X1: Possible jammed seat belt

A total of 49,379 BMW 2 Series models and X1 manufactured between 2021 and 2023 are being recalled to the workshop worldwide. The measure is because the trim of the C-pillar may have jammed the seat belt of the second row of seats during installation. This can lead to an insufficient restraint effect in an accident. In Germany, 12,350 vehicles are affected.

In the workshop, the rear seat belts on the left and right outside are checked and, if necessary, repaired. The KBA is monitoring the measure under the reference number “012710“, and the manufacturer codes are “0072480200 and 0072490200“.
