Alfa Romeo Tonale: Faulty screw connections on the 12 V battery can lead to a fire

Alfa Romeo is recalling 6,170 Tonale built between 2022 and 2023 to the workshop worldwide. The reason for the recall is faulty screw connections on the 12 V battery terminal, the two earth cables and the two HV connectors, which can lead to a fire.

In the workshop, the presence and tight fit of the nut in question is checked. If it is missing, a new nut is fitted. The KBA monitors the measure under the reference number “013152” and the internal manufacturer code is “6683“.
