Alfa Romeo Tonale: Non-compliant underbody wiring

Worldwide, 607 Alfa Romeo Tonale PHEVs manufactured between 2022 and 2023 will have to go back to the workshop. The reason for the measure is non-compliant underbody wiring with possible damage to the ground cable. As a result, a short circuit may occur due to contact with the exhaust pipe, causing the vehicle to stall. On the other hand, the lighting, the hazard warning lights, as well as the steering and braking power assistance could fail. In Germany, 193 vehicles are affected.

The underbody wiring is checked in the workshop and repaired if necessary. The KBA is monitoring the measure under the reference number “012601”, and the internal code is “6574”.
