3 recalls for 8 Skoda models in 2023

Skoda has three recalls for eight models in the EU Safety Gate (formerly Rapex) system for 2023. Skoda moved in the overall ranking from seventeenth to 25th place compared to last year.

Two recalls can be found with the Fabia and Octavia models, while other Skoda models have one recall each. The oldest recalled Skodas were produced in 2012.

Safety Gate does not provide the numbers of potentially affected cars in its reports, so we always verify them from other sources. Since the beginning of 2023, we have also been monitoring the database of the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA, Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt), which publishes the numbers and also often includes Skoda recalls that Safety Gate does not record. Some of them can be found below.
