2023 Honda Civic and Civic Type R: Defective weld on the seat frame

Worldwide, 1,657 Honda Civic and Civic Type R produced in the year 2023 have to go back to the workshop. The reason for the measure is a defective weld seam on the seat frame, which can break in the event of an accident. As a result, the restraint effect is correspondingly limited.

The driver’s seat frame is replaced in the workshop. The KBA is investigating the measure under reference number “012664” and the manufacturer code is “6YC“.
