3 recalls for 2 Cupra models in 2023

Cupra has three recalls for two models in the EU Safety Gate (formerly Rapex) system for 2023. Last year we didn’t have it in the overall standings because it was presented together with the parent car company Seat. This year, it is ranked 28th on its own.

There are two recalls with the Cupra Formentor and one with the Cupra Leon. All are for cars produced in 2023.

Safety Gate does not provide the numbers of potentially affected cars in its reports, so we always verify them from other sources. Since the beginning of 2023, we have also been monitoring the database of the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA, Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt), which publishes the numbers and also often includes Cupra recalls that Safety Gate does not record. Some of them can be found below.
