20 recalls for 12 Citroen models in 2023
Citroen has 20 recalls for 12 models in the EU Safety Gate (formerly Rapex) system for 2023. It moved up one place in the overall standings to fifth place compared to last year.
Citroën’s most recalled models are the Citroën C3 and C5 Aircross, with seven recalls. The Berlingo had five recalls in 2023, and the Jumpy van was recalled four times. The oldest Citroëns recalled are from 2014.
Safety Gate does not provide the numbers of potentially affected cars in its reports, so we always verify them from other sources. Since the beginning of 2023, we have also been monitoring the database of the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA, Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt), which publishes the numbers and also includes Citroen recalls that Safety Gate does not record. Some of them can be found below.
