12 recalls for 13 Volvo models in 2021
Volvo has announced twelve recalls in 2021 through the Rapex system, affecting thirteen of its models.
Volvo recalls nearly 330,000 cars in 2021 across virtually its entire model range, except for the smallest SUV, the XC40. For cars built in 2019 and 2020, a 15A fuse on the low-pressure fuel pump may blow, causing the engine to stall and not be able to restart.
Volvo’s other more significant action involved the XC60 and XC90 SUVs with diesel engines. Possible turbocharger failure can lead to loss of power and smoke. In the worst-case scenario, engine parts could be damaged. Worldwide, the recall affects 9,864 vehicles produced between May and August 2020.
