Two recalls of two manufacturers were issued for four models in the 46th week of 2020 through the Rapex system. Audi and Mercedes-Benz announced one recall each.
The fatigue strength of the ball coupling device may be inadequate with Mercedes Sprinter vans manufactured between September 2007 and June 2020. As a result, the device could crack and break, increasing the risk of an accident. Other brands, such as Peugeot, Citroën, Audi and Volkswagen, have recently been also recalled due to a defect in the towing device. You can find them in our archive under the bodywork tag.
In this context, it is good to remember that in March 2018 there was a large recall for the ball couplings of the German manufacturer Al-Ko. At that time, all ball couplings on the market were affected – we wrote here.

The screw connection attaching the seat frame to the seat rail may not be correctly executed with Audi A4, A5 and Q3 produced in July 2020. As a result, it may fail in the event of an accident, increasing the risk of injury.
