Three recalls for three models of three carmakers were announced via Rapex in the 49th week of 2022.
BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen have one recall each – see the table at the end of the article.

A wheel control arm on Volkswagen Caddy manufactured between April 2021 and July 2022 may have missing welds and can fail to work properly. With more than 6,000 cars, the wheel can bend sideways, making driving very difficult and increasing the risk of an accident.
The third row of seats may not be adequately secured on over 130,000 Mercedes GLSs with production dates between November 2017 and July 2022. The locking mechanism may fail, increasing the risk of injury in an accident.
Less than 200 BMW 2 Active Tourers built between July and September 2022 may have their doors open spontaneously in a side impact. This increases the risk of injury to occupants in the event of a repeat impact or subsequent rollover.
