- TÜV Report 2022: The best and worst cars
Two recalls this week concern electric vehicles. The Chevrolet Bolt‘s problems with batteries have been known in America since last November. In July 2021, the automaker announced another recall, and in November 2021, it appears in the European Rapex alert system reports. According to this source, the high-voltage battery may be faulty at full charging capacity, with 141,685 vehicles produced between 26 July 2016 and 12 August 2021.
The German electric car producer, e.GO Mobile is facing three problems in one recall under the Rapex code A12/01579/21. The parking brake may not work properly in wet and/or freezing conditions. The locking mechanism of the front hood can fail and cause the front hood to detach while the vehicle is being driven. In addition, the passenger airbag may fail in extreme temperatures.
