Worldwide, 31,350 Peugeot 208s built in 2022 will need to be serviced. The handbrake warning light connector could become loose so that the light would not illuminate when driving with the handbrake applied. In the worst-case scenario, this could lead to a fire and reduced braking performance due to overheated brake pads.
A further 37,627 Peugeot 208s built between 19 March 2020 and 24 October 2022 are being recalled due to incorrectly tightened tie rod locknuts. This could lead to loss of vehicle control and the risk of an accident. There have already been 15 cases reported, but no accidents so far. This recall has previously been published in Rapex.
MG Motor is recalling 24,600 EHS SUVs. The Chinese manufacturer’s first recall affects plug-in hybrid models built in 2021 and 2022. The reason for the measure is an improperly installed ground cable on the heating element, which can come loose and cause a fire.
Mazda has launched a recall of its CX-60 (KH) model. The accessory alloy wheels on these vehicles must be fitted with bushes in the wheel stud holes. However, these may be missing or incorrectly fitted on individual wheels. This KBA monitoring action covers 12,593 vehicles in Europe from the production period of 2 June 2022 to 31 December 2022.
Of the three Mercedes recalls, two concern the Sprinter van. 315,000 Sprinters built between March 2017 and November 2020 may have overheated internal fans and caught fire. 198,139 Sprinters built between 2005 and 2017 may have a defective driver and passenger airbags.
Cadillac is recalling 11,179 XT4s globally from the production period of November 19, 2019, to August 14, 2020. The reason for the measure is a possible backup camera defect.
One thousand Fiat Doblo small vans are being recalled due to fire risk.
