Volvo-XC40-rear-blinker

This week’s recalls:
– Fiat – reversing lights and sensors
– Volvo – Rear turn signals
– Citroen, Peugeot – power steering

Overview of the recalls in the 6th week of 2024

Four recalls for four models of four brands were issued via EU Safety Gate in week 6 of 2024. Six recalls for ten models were published by the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).

Citroen, Mercedes-Benz, Peugeot and Volvo have one recall each in the European Safety Gate system.

Audi, Citroen, Dacia, Fiat, Peugeot and Porsche are recalling through the KBA.

Turn signals with Volvo and reversing lights with Fiat

Volvo is recalling over 100,000 2024 model year XC40 SUVs that may not have a working left rear turn signal. The reversing lights, sensors and camera may fail on nearly 25,000 Fiat 500, Panda and Tipo vehicles built in 2023.

Steering problems with Stellantis vans

Last week, we wrote about a recall for around 50,000 2023 Citroën Jumper, Fiat Ducato, Opel Movano and Peugeot Boxer vans. A faulty high-pressure line in the hydraulic power steering can lead to its failure or a fire. The recalls have appeared in both the KBA and Safety Gate databases in the past period, with Citroen and Peugeot vans added this week.

Details on this week’s Rapex recalls can be found in the table below.

We write about the KBA recalls in the following articles:

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
