This week’s recalls:
– Renault Captur – panoramic roof
– Mini Clubman – rollover sensor
– Volvo – air bubbles in the cooling system
– Mercedes-Sprinter – wiring harness

4 recalls for 13 models were issued by four carmakers in the 30th week of 2020 through the Rapex system. Mini, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, and Volvo issued one recall each.

The bonding of the panorama glass roofing may be defective with a Renault Captur produced between 21 August 2019 to 2 September 2019. As a result, it may become detached from the vehicle, posing a risk to the following traffic.

The Mini Clubman may have a faulty rollover detection sensor inside the airbag control unit. Mercedes Sprinters manufactured between October 2018 and May 2020 may inadvertently deploy the side airbag due to a damaged wiring harness at the front seat.

This week, the second stage of Volvo‘s recall for the S80, S60, V70, XC70, S60CC, V60, XC60, V60CC, V40, and V40CC was also announced. The reason is the air bubbles in the engine’s cooling system after filling with coolant.

See the table below for all the recalls from this week.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
