This week’s recalls:

Four recalls for four models of four carmakers were announced via Rapex in the 11th week of 2023. A further three actions have been published by the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).
Dodge, Chevrolet, Hyundai and Opel each have a recall in Rapex – see the table at the end of the article. Alfa Romeo, Cupra and Ford are recalling through the KBA.

A recall for Opel Insignia appeared in Rapex this week. However, according to the KBA, this was already announced last year. Due to the loss of vacuum in the hydraulic brake pressure regulator, the braking distance may be extended because the electronic brake control module is not configured correctly. 194,032 Insignias manufactured from June 2016 to October 2020 may be affected.
The recall for the Hyundai Nexo is from last week and affects almost 2,000 cars built between December 2017 and October 2021. Hydrogen detector failures may not detect leaking hydrogen, increasing the fire risk.
Individually Imported US Pickups
Over one million and three hundred thousand Dodge RAM pickups may have a defective tailgate (tailboard) lock. It can open while driving, and the cargo can fall onto the road. The European recall affects individually imported cars built between February 2018 and July 2022. Over 300,000 2015 and 2016 Chevrolet Silverado may have a problem with the head airbags.
KBA Recalls
For the second time in a short period, the Alfa Romeo Tonale SUV is being recalled – this time due to non-compliant underbody wiring. A Cupra Leon may have misaligned headlights, while a Ford F-150 may have failed wipers.
