Citroen, Jaguar, Land Rover, Opel, Peugeot, and Porsche are recalled due to fire risk (week 27/23)

This week’s recalls:
– Citroen, Peugeot – fuse box
– Jaguar – high voltage battery
– Land Rover – oil leak
– Opel – fuel line


Twelve recalls for 13 models of 10 makes were announced via Rapex in the 27th week of 2023. Six more recalls were announced by the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).

Two recalls have been announced by Land Rover and Peugeot, while Citroen, Dodge, Ford, Jaguar, Jeep, Mercedes-Benz, Opel and Porsche have one recall each at Rapex.

Citroen, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Opel and Peugeot are also recalling through the KBA.

Rapex Recalls announced in the 27th week of 2023

Make, Model (years) Problem
Citroen Berlingo (2014 – 2018) The fuse box may not comply with the specifications and water infiltration may occur.
Dodge RAM (2020 – 2023) The defective semiconductor relay of the air intake grid may cause a short circuit.
Ford Ranger (2022) The seat belt retention function may be faulty.
Jaguar I-Pace (2018 – 2023) Thermal overload can occur in the high voltage battery, creating a risk of fire and injury.
Jeep Cherokee (2015 – 2016) The connection between the transmission and the differential could become disrupted.
Land Rover Range Rover Sport (2022) The beam setting of the Pixel headlights on the left side is too high. This can blind/dazzle other road users.
Land Rover Range Rover / Sport (2022 – 2023) The engine cam carrier oil channel may become blocked, which can cause external oil leakage.
Land Rover Defender (2022 – 2023) The engine cam carrier oil channel may become blocked, which can cause external oil leakage.
Land Rover Discovery (2022 – 2023) The engine cam carrier oil channel may become blocked, which can cause external oil leakage.
Mercedes-Benz G-Class (2007 – 2023) The oil supply to the drive shaft bearing in the rear axle differential may be inadequate.
Opel Mokka (2022 – 2023) The fuel line may be faulty and cause fuel leakage into the engine compartment.
Peugeot 208 (2023) The rubber in the tyres originally supplied with the car may be inadequate.
Peugeot Partner (2014 – 2018) The fuse box may not comply with the specifications and water infiltration may occur.
Porsche Panamera (2015 – 2021) Moisture infiltration may lead to corrosion of the control unit for the additional air conditioning pump.
