Jeep: Isofix, airbags and e-call in French

Second-row seats may have missing welds between the seat back frame and the child seat anchor on 4,853 Jeep Grand Cherokees manufactured between October 13, 2021 and February 2, 2022. With over 48,000 2021 and 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles, the side airbag curtain (SABIC) deployment may be compromised. The airbag provides inadequate protection, increasing the risk of injury in an accident. The other Jeep recall has so far only been announced through the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA). With 5,597 Jeep Avenger small SUVs built between 2022 and 2023, the e-call system communicates with vehicle occupants only in French.

Seat belts with Honda and airbags with Volkswagen

More than half a million Honda CR-V and Odyssey vehicles with a production date of February 27, 2018 – September 10, 2019, may not have their front seat belt buckles (driver or passenger side) fastened correctly due to improper manufacturing. Volkswagen has announced another round of recalls for older models due to airbags. This time, the models involved are the Crafter, Fox, Golf Cabriolet and Polo from the years 2008 to 2014.

Details on this week’s Rapex recalls can be found in the table below.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
