Poorly welded seats with Opel, loss of spare wheel with Peugeot (week 49/19)

Nine recalls for 16 models of six manufacturers were announced in the 49th week of 2019. Opel issued three actions, while Mercedes-Benz two. Citroën, Ford, Peugeot and Skoda issued one recall each.

Opel

Opel announced three recalls for three of its models this week. The Opel Astra and Opel Insignia manufactured in July and August 2019, may have a poorly welded cross member of the front seat structure. In addition, the Opel Insignia manufactured in the second half of August may have defective wheel rims with reduced wall thickness. Opel Movano vans from the first half of September may not have the passenger airbag installed correctly.

Peugeot

The screws of the spare wheel support may be insufficiently tightened with the Peugeot 5008 produced between March 2018 to February 2019. The spare wheel could fall out while driving.

Ford

Ford has been extending the recall for several of its models due to the possible cracking of the clutch pressure plates. We write about it in detail in the article: Ford recalls seven models from the years 2009-2016 due to the clutch pressure plate

Skoda

Mercedes-Benz

With the GLE and GLS models manufactured from August 2018 to September 2019, the garnish moulding to the window stay bar of the rear doors may not have been correctly installed and could fall off while driving. The Mercedes-Benz A-Class produced between March to June 2018 may have poorly fastened seat belt anchorages for the front seats.

Citroën

For the Jumpy (Dispatch in the UK) and Spacetourer vans, the same recall was announced as before for the related Peugeot and Toyota vans. Also with these models, the seat-belt buckle of the outer passenger seat may inadvertently become released.
