This week’s recalls:
– Hyundai i30, Tucson – brake problem
– Kia Niro, Sportage – instrument panel
– Volkswagen – Takata airbags
– Ford Focus – 48V battery
Four recalls for 11 models of four carmakers were announced via Rapex in the 32nd week of 2023. Two more recalls were announced by the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).
Ford, Hyundai, Kia a Volkswagen have one recall each at Rapex.
BMW and Tesla are also recalling through the KBA.

The tandem pump pre-filter may be sealed by fibres from the tandem pump belt on 98,225 Hyundai i30 (Pde) and Hyundai Tucson (TLe) model series vehicles manufactured between October 2018 and July 2020 (i30) respectively October 2020 (Tucson). This may cause tightening of the brake pedal impeding normal braking, which can cause an accident.
