BMW, Mercedes and Porsche recalls

The European Safety Gate alert system has featured this week the recalls we have reported on in recent weeks in our overview of the recalls announced through the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt – KBA). In the table at the end of the article, you will find the recalls for 371,756 BMWs, 340,956 Mercedes and an extended recall for the Porsche Taycan.

Poorly bonded parts

BMW is recalling several hundred BMW XMs because of a badly bonded fifth door panel. Ford Bronco may have a badly glued hardtop side window.

Hyundai Tucson rear windows

Hyundai is recalling over 15,000 Tucsons from 2021 to 2023 due to malfunctioning rear power window pinch protection.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
