The first recall with Skoda Kamiq and Scala

Skoda-Kamiq-Scala-recall-e-call-scaled-1

Recall with code 91W7 is announced by Skoda Auto for about 1,500 Kamiq and Scala models manufactured in August and September 2019.

The reason for the action is a “sporadic E-Call and Info/Service call faults” caused by an incorrect dataset uploaded into the OCU control unit. Repair at the authorized service center should not take more than an hour.

Skoda has recently had several recalls for various models. We have written about each of them in separate articles – see below.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
