Overview of recalls in the 13th week of 2025
Three recalls for four models of two makes were announced via EU Safety Gate in the 13th week of 2025. Three recalls for four models of three makes were published by the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).
One recall each will be found this week in the European Safety Gate system for the Jaguar and Land Rover.
Hyundai, Lexus and Nissan are all recalling through the KBA.

Fuel pump again
About a month ago, Toyota recalled three of its models whose fuel pump had already been checked during a previous recall to prevent a possible fire. The check proved inadequate and around 10,000 owners of Auris, C-HR and Corolla models will have to have their pumps checked again. This week we have added a further 227 cars to our database of two Lexus models that have already been checked, but whose owners will also need to return for service.
Fuel pump problems, by the way, are not uncommon with Japanese car manufacturers. In the past, Mazda, Honda, and Suzuki have also recalled hundreds of thousands of cars because of this issue.
ESP again
Hyundai’s recall action for a possible short-circuit in the ESP unit, which could lead to a fire, is also being continually expanded. This week, we updated the original article from November 2024 for the third time and added 362,438 Hyundai iX35s built between 2010 and 2013 to the list.
Safe mode
Fluctuating battery charge levels can cause Nissan Qashqai to switch to emergency mode. Once the engine is switched off, the vehicle cannot be restarted. The fault may occur in 94,404 cars manufactured between 2021 and 2024.
