Toyota C-HR (2020 – 2023)

Toyota-C-HR-2020-immobilizer

The design of the accessory immobilizer is not robust enough. It allows the vehicle to be in ‘Ready ON’ mode even when no match is found between the vehicle and its key but will switch the vehicle to ‘Ready OFF’ after. It can happen while driving, which will stop the car and increase the risk of an accident.

The Toyota C-HR vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 8 January 2020 and 29 July 2023.

Toyota recall code: 24SD-022
Affected models: Toyota: C-HR, RAV4 HEV, RAV4 PHV; Lexus: NX450h+, RX350h, RX450h+, RX500h

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
