A manufacturing defect in the steering coupling may lead to loosen mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the steering box, leading to a loss of steering and increasing the risk of an accident.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 2 March 2022 and 23 July 2025.
