Due to an error in the specific calibration software of the electronic engine control unit (ECU), an incorrect value may be given when the data are processed by the vehicle. This may result in nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions that are above the regulatory limits. Excessive NOx emissions pose a risk to the environment.

The Citroen C5 Aircross vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 3. 10. 2022 – 13. 9. 2023.
