Overview of the recalls in the 26th week of 2024
Three recalls for three models of three manufacturers were issued via EU Safety Gate in week 26 of 2024. Four recalls for four models were announced via the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).
One recall can be found in the European Safety Gate system for BMW, Jeep a Land Rover.
Audi, BMW, Ford and Hyundai are recalling via the KBA.

Upper control arm at Jeep
The upper control arm clamping screw may have been damaged during assembly of the Jeep Grand Cherokee. If it breaks, the clamping force between the control arm ball joint and the steering knuckle could be lost. This could cause the wheel to detach, creating a risk of accidents and injuries. Jeep is recalling 375,141 vehicles manufactured from December 2020 through May 2023 for inspection.
Yet another Hyundai recall
Hyundai has recently recalled several models due to airbags, immobilizers, driveshafts, or faulty charging processes in electric cars. Check out all of this year’s Hyundai recalls via the KBA and also via Europe’s Safety Gate system. This week, 2,532 Hyundai Konas built between 2022 and 2023 are being recalled due to rear seat belt buckles that do not meet specifications. This may lead to reduced occupant protection.
