Fire damage to the wiring harness at Aston Martin Valkyrie can be caused by too long screws

Aston_Martin_Valkyrie_fire_risk_kba

Aston Martin is recalling 137 vehicles of the Valkyrie model series manufactured between 16. 6. 2020 and 23. 12. 2024. The recall is due to the screws that are too long on the fuse box’s locking plate, which can damage the wiring harness. This can cause the drive, lights, power steering or other systems to fail, and there is a risk of overheating and fire in the fuse box.

At an authorised workshop, the screws on the cover plate at the rear fuse box are replaced.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15104R“. The internal manufacturer code is “RA-18-2044“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
