This week’s recalls:
– Mercedes, Honda – wiring harnesses
– Opel Corsa – emissions
– Lamborghini – fuel leak

Overview of the recalls in the 30th week of 2024

Three recalls for five models of three manufacturers were issued via EU Safety Gate in week 30 of 2024. Five recalls for nine models were announced via the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).

One recall can be found in the European Safety Gate system for Ford, Lamborghini and Land Rover.

Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Honda, Mercedes-Benz and Opel are recalling via the KBA.

Wiring harnesses

Incorrect positioning of the transmission wiring harness can lead to water ingress and subsequently an increased risk of fire in 57,988 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, E-Class Coupé/Cabriolet and AMG GT 4-Door Coupé with all-wheel drive manufactured between 2017 and 2022. Over 200,000 2021 Honda Ridgeline pickups may have tailgate wiring harness cover cracks.

Inacceptable emissions

Some Opel Corsa vehicles built between 2019 and 2023 and equipped with the EB2FA engine may not meet the emission standard. With 216,361 cars, the fuel tank vent valve (CPV) and/or fuel lines must be replaced.

Fuel leakage

Improper installation can cause fuel lines to disconnect and lead to fuel leaks in nearly 200 Lamborghini Revuelto supercars. The leaked fuel can ignite on contact with hot engine parts, increasing the risk of fire.

Details on this week’s Rapex recalls can be found in the table below.

We write about the KBA recalls in the following articles:

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
